I was Googling romantic songs today, and came across several top ten style lists. Most of them had songs that I could whole heartedly agree were romantic. Most also had some songs that made me wonder, such as “My heart will go on” by Celine Dion. In all fairness I haven’t heard the song, but the title suggests that this piece is more about after the breakup, which is distinctly not romantic. One thing is certain, however: one person’s idea of a romantic song is not necessarily your idea of a romantic song, or mine.
So I was wondering, what are your favorite romantic songs? Some of mine include “Are You Lonely Tonight” by Elvis Presley, “Damn your Eyes” by Etta James, “Hold On, I’m Coming” and “Help the Poor” by B.B. King and Eric Clapton. Yes, I’m on a bit of a blues/r&b kick right now, but this post isn’t actually about me, it’s about you.

One of my favorite songs is “Sway” the way Michael Buble does it. I like a lot of his stuff for setting a romantic mood.
